Disciple Her

Faith, Identity, and Healing

Before she can imagine a new future, she has to believe she’s worth one.

At the Geaux Foundation, once a girl is safe and stable, our next mission is to disciple her—to walk with her through the healing process, help her rebuild her identity, and introduce her to the One who will never abandon her.

The Wounds Poverty Doesn’t Show

Every girl who comes to us carries more than just the trauma of poverty. She brings the invisible weight of rejection, shame, and fear.

Many have been told—by words or actions—that they’re worthless. That their only value is what they can offer in labor, marriage, or survival.

These aren’t just physical rescues. These are soul rescues.

Our Response: Restore Her Identity

We believe that every girl is created by God—uniquely designed, deeply loved, and full of purpose.

Discipleship at Geaux is about restoring that truth in her heart.

Through daily Bible study, prayer, mentorship, and conversation, we create a loving environment where each girl:

  • Learns who she is in Christ

  • Begins to heal from rejection, loss, and trauma

  • Develops healthy friendships and routines

  • Discovers the joy of being known, seen, and loved

  • Learns to extend grace to others and to herself

“I used to feel forgotten. Now I know God sees me, and that has changed everything.”

What Discipleship Really Looks Like

Discipling her means:

  • Daily devotionals and Scripture memorization

  • One-on-one mentoring with trusted female leaders

  • Group sessions on identity, forgiveness, and purpose

  • Songs, journaling, and safe spaces to process emotions

  • Celebrating growth milestones and spiritual maturity

  • Learning how to serve others and share her faith

This is where deep transformation happens. Not overnight—but step by step, heart by heart.

The Foundation for a Life of Purpose

Once a girl begins to see herself through God’s eyes, her posture changes. Her words change. Her dreams grow.

Discipleship is not just teaching—it’s reparenting, restoring, and rebuilding from the inside out.

This is where she begins to believe, “My past does not define me. I am a child of God, and I have a purpose.”

We are here to say: Yes, there is more. And it starts now.
